CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order at 5:38 at Lady Bird Club House.

PRESENT: Leonard Bentch, Ron Moerbe, Chris Meade, Bruce Rheeh, Bobby Watson, Adam Starr, Lynda Baker Jim Penn (mobile phone). Guests: Jason and Keri Hensley, Marc Williamson.

MINUTES: Minutes of the November 16 meeting accepted as electronically submitted. There was no meeting in December due to the Holiday Season.

FINANCIAL:

Income statement 2021 Jan 1, 2021 – December 31, 2021: Accepted

Opening Balance: $112,254.71

Revenues: 80,83484

Use of Funds: 32,828.76

Closing Balance: $161,865.29

CLINICS: No clinics presently. Will begin in the spring.

SCHOLARSHIP: Scholarship applications have been delivered to the four Gillespie County high schools.

NAME CHANGE: We have received no reply from the IRS concerning request for name change.

DISCUSCION: Marc Williamson addressed the board concerning the appointment of a full-time golf coach at FHS. Marc said this is an opportune time to raise the issue since the school is replacing the athletic director and the principal. A lengthy discussed ensued concerning the advantages, disadvantages, timing, and appropriateness of addressing this issue with FISD personnel. Consensus to pursue full time golf coach with currently available staff but wait until school district names AD.

NEW BUSINESS: General agreement to designate the next meeting for strategic planning to consider long term goals, a permanent junior golf instruction facility, and other projects.

ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 6:26. Next meeting will be the February 8, the second Wednesday of the month.
